Dee Relyea's
background includes;
career and personal counseling, providing outplacement services,
interviewing and recruiting for the staffing industry, labor market and
occupational research, marketing and managing public/private sector
employment and training programs, consulting, and small business
coaching.
She launched her own business; Career Life Coaching, in 2003 to assist
people in determining how to bring their skills, talents and passion
into the world of work. A qualified MBTI® (Myers Briggs Type
Indicator®) practitioner, Dee offers several online assessments and
workshops to help individuals and organizations maximize work/life

In
addition to her private practice, Dee works part time at the Small
Business Development Center at the University of Wisconsin – Madison,
coaching fledgling entrepreneurs and small business owners on everything
from where to get a sellers permit, to, how to maximize their marketing
efforts. She recently received an academic appointment to teach a seminar
in the School of Business several times a year, “Starting a Business, The
First Step”,

Personal:
She has lived in several states throughout the country and
loves traveling. Formerly from
Denver, CO, she now
resides in Madison, WI with her husband and has a son in college, and a
daughter, a recent graduate of UMN now studying Healing Arts. Dee is a
student of Eastern wisdom traditions and enjoys Tai Chi, gourmet cooking,
and downhill skiing (we head back to Colorado annually to get our
“mountain fix”).

In the 1980’s, wrote, was awarded, and managed a
$250,000 grant from the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation to create a
school to work transition program to assist at risk youth in completing
high school. The program was later adopted throughout the public
secondary school system statewide (CO).
